The Round up: January’s best bits

Everyone is always so glad when January is out the way, because let’s face it, it’s not the best of months! However, I for one don’t like a day or month to set my mood and have had a pretty positive start to the year. With new recipes, an open day and a fresh new mindset let’s delve into the month of January!

Performance Elite’s One Year Anniversary

I started out at Performance Elite back in April 2017, and can’t believe how fast it’s gone. I’ve loved every minute of it, and seeing the growth of myself, the gym and the community has been amazing! The facility itself has been open for over a year now, and to celebrate we held an open day with classes, healthy bakes and a whole lot of fun. I was blown away by the turn out for my boxing class, with 18 ladies sweating, punching and laughing. I had so much fun, a huge thank you to those that came.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

I created these cookies for the open day, and because of Veganuary they were 100% vegan (not that anyone realised). I was hounded for the recipe, and swiftly got it up on my blog. If you’re looking for some weekend baking, get yourself over there and make some cookies. (Don’t blame me if you inhale them in one go, they’re that tasty).

A morning of sweat, fulled by cake

If you follow me on socials, you’ll know by now I’m a complete country bumpkin! However, I do love a visit to London. So last week, a close girlfriend and I headed to London for the day. We had a great workout, an incredible Vegan lunch which was followed by cake and coffee. I’ve written up a full post on this, so if you’d like to find out more, click here.

A fresh new mindset

There’s been a lot that’s happened in the past year, and I did actually write up a post on how I was feeling and what was going on. The reason being, I always want to be honest with you. If you can’t relate to me, I’m not doing my job properly! But, I also made a promise to myself. The 2018 would be a year of change, and so far so good. I really believe we all have the ability to make changes, but it has to come from a desire to start. If you’re not there yet, that doesn’t matter. The acknowledgement is the first step, then there’ll be no stopping you!

I’m looking forward to the month of February, especially as I’m heading to France for a week of snowboarding. Apart from an indoor experience, I’ve never actually been before so it could be rather amusing. I really hope you’ve had a positive start to the month, and feeling ready for the year ahead. Until next time!
