Peanut Butter Balls

I’ve been working on snack recipes lately, because however much I enjoy carrots and hummus sometimes you need a sugary snack! The best way to stop yourself from buying pre-made bars/balls etc, is to create them yourself. I can’t believe I’ve not made these before, seen as my love affair for peanut butter grows stronger every day. 

They’re so easy to create, and keep really well in the fridge or freezer. The best thing being, they’re only five ingredients. Easy right? If you get creative in the kitchen, I would love to hear from you by tagging me @oliviafurner in your posts! 

Makes: 10-12 balls | Time: 15-20 minutes


  • 125g pecans
  • 5 medjool dates
  • 120g peanut butter (I used Pip & Nut
  • 60ml maple syrup
  • 25g oats


  1. Using a food processor, blend the pecans until they form a flour. Then add the remaining ingredients, and whizz until everything is combined and it begins to clump together.
  2. Now it’s time to get rolling. Using a heaped tbsp measure as an approximate guide, roll the balls inbetween your hands until they form a nice even ball.
  3. Repeat this process until all the mixture has finished, then place the balls into the fridge to firm up for 15-20 minutes.

Top Tip

If I know I wont finish the balls in one week, I will place them into the freezer to ensure they keep for even longer. Plus, I’m a little odd and enjoy eating frozen foods. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it, tuck into a bowl of frozen fruit and let me know what you think!
